Tournament Report

10 people attended RtC: Boston.
Unfortunately, the Archon file didn't get properly saved (user error),
so exact stats are not available at this time (although given a little
bit of assistance, they could be reconstructed).

The top 5 (in final order) were:
Ben Peal - Tzimisce - 4vp
Josh Feuerstein - Giovanni - 1vp
Peter Jehlen - Ventrue
Greg Pettigrew - Gargoyles
Matt Hirsch - Nosferatu Antitribu

The rest of the players (in no particular order):

Jack Rizutko - Tzimisce
Greg Burlingame - Ventrue
Matt Allain - Assamites
Jesse Rizutko - Samedi
Declan O'Connell - Brujah

Storyline-wise, a handful of interesting things happened. Please
correct any errors I've made, and please add whatever else you think
might be appropriate to the storyline, before I pass this on to the
"Storyline Authorities":

At my round 1 table, first of all, Lia Milliner had a hell of a time.
My predator was the Assamites. By the time Lia came out, things were
already looking pretty grim. Lia played Divine Sign, targeting Sandra
White, who was threatening to diablerize my Isabel Giovanni. But Lia
received a Clandestine Contract, naming Tegyrius, and didn't last much
longer than that. When Dragonbound hit the table, Lia spent some time
in torpor causing me to burn 2 or 3 pool overall.
Meanwhile, there was a desperate attempt to Reverse the Curse by my
Gargoyle prey. Several of his Events went canceled by the Nosferatu
Antitribu (his prey), playing Emergency Preparations and retrieving it
from his ash heap repeatedly with the help of Anthelios (played by me
earlier).
The Nosferatu Antitribu, who were indeed controlling Ingram Frizer
(the vampire with the Yankees cap), had no intention of letting the
Curse be Reversed.
Later on, Ingram recruited a Marijava Thuggee.
The Nosferatu Antitribu got a game win at that table, without Reverse
the Curse ever seeing play.

In round 2, the Gargoyle player, controlling Pugfar, managed to get
Reverse the Curse into play (the other two Events on the table were
Restricted Vitae and Torpid Blood). Not only that, but at the time,
he had 3 Cardano in his uncontrolled region at the time, each of which
gained 4 blood as per the special rules. This allowed the Gargoyles
enough momentum to gain 4 VP (a "sweep"), and win the copy of
Anthelios that was hidden in the card sleeve.

At my table of Round 2, with my Ventrue predator, I played the
Fortschritt Library to search my library for Fall of the Camarilla,
but was never able to get it into play.

I'm not sure if anything interesting happened in the 3rd round,
storyline-wise, except that the Giovanni and Ventrue (myself and
Peter) were left fighting it out, and I managed to squeeze a Game Win
from him after being at a clear disadvantage for awhile, all because
he forgot to play the Voter Captivation after he called Protect Thine
Own on Le Dinh Tho.

After round 3, the finalists would have been Ben, Peter, Jack, Greg
and Matt. But since Jack had to leave, I was pushed up from 6th place
into the finals.

In the final round (Greg->Peter->Josh->Matt->Ben), the Curse was
Reversed by the Gargoyles again, and I once again did not have the
Fall of the Camarilla to slow down my predator. I ousted Matt, and
soon was ousted by Peter. Ben ousted Greg.
Peter (Ventrue) played both Momentum's Edge and Gambit Accepted.
Over a long series of turns where neither remaining player was
blocking the other's actions and they both were bloating/gaining pool,
the winner was in question because of the Gambit Accepted in play. In
the end, the Ventrue influenced out Pochtli to help him cycle some
cards back, but the Tzimisce ousted the Ventrue, gaining his extra VP
from the gambit, and a 4 vp win.

Congratulations to Ben for winning (with a deck borrowed from Greg P).
 Deck list is forthcoming.

Thanks!

Jodaff

Yeah, it turns out that Cardano was funding the Gargoyle revolt in Boston
to steal the Praxis from Quentin King III. Pugfar came out right before
the Torpid Blood and Reverse the Curse. Wasn't Pugfar digging for
someone/thing in the story?

Let's see, Jorge de la Muerta was burned by an Archon Investigation while
trying to Bleed for 5 on his third action that turn. Obsidian was torpored
and then eaten cross-table by the questionably famous Horatio trying to
get a tragic death. The Gangrel & Nosferatu Antitribu were constantly
bouncing back and forth from Torpor due to the Red Fear. Horatio was
famous, then he wasn't, then there were rumours that he was making a
comeback, and then he finally made his comeback.

The table was in a stable but nasty state when I got greedy and played a
Dragonbound. It asploded shortly thereafter. My death was assured when I
pulled blood off of uncontrolled Pugfar instead of putting it on him. The
Curse was Reversed, but it was too late.

Also, the Curse was Reversed in the Final and Perfect Ferox was Merged.

QUOTE: I hear Horatio's making a comeback. Wait, maybe not...

Its worth noting that the Tzimisce were a clan divded
with Lambach nowhere in site. For the record i am
immensely proud of Horatio for not only being
allegedly famous, but for taking on all comers with
zeal to simultaneously survive the assaults of tarbaby
jack rotshrecking on 2 consecutive opportunities), and
the harrowing papparazi who made his address public
amidst speculation of his retirement/comeback.
